Banyuhay

life happens.

Its already 2009 and its soo funny that after all these years (these blog has actually come a long way) I still rant on and on about my work. Makes me wonder why I bother to write about it. Its actually quite sad and just down right pathetic.
Thank god for the perks cuz staying at the same company (its been almost 6 years already) that makes you want to hurl out your dinner everyday is simply stupid.
I want to write so much more now but unfortunately, I have gotten myself into a situation where I just need to shut up...for now.
To any lost and bored soul out there...pls dont get me wrong though.
The moment I step out of work, its a whole different story.
I get to be with people who make me laugh and happy all the time. I hang out with people who understand me despite my lack of quick wit combined with an abundance of unintelligible humor. I am even a blessed owner of 3, oh yes THREE, loving (un-housetrained Ü) doggies.
I am a vert happy person. Just dont get me started about work.

Lucky by Jason Mraz
Do you hear me, I'm talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Countdown to a New Life
So many things have been happening to me lately.
Despite my hectic schedule, I just had to take time to blog just to let it all out.
As always, the level of stress at work is at maximum overdrive. It just doesn't stop. I've been reading through most of my entries and have come to realize that its all I write about. Stress here, stress there...well for a change, I have something nice to write about work.
I finally have been given an opportunity to try out my skills with our Training and Development Team! Yipee! First and foremost, I won't have to deal with irate and senseless customers whining about the millions of problems being encountered by the bank. Woooohooo! I'll be transferring to this new team effective June 2. I can't contain my happiness! Too bad I cant show it that much at the office since I would be leaving the Inbound Team. I feel sad too but...
I'm way way happier with the transfer!! Happiness!
I even have a countdown on my calendar now...thats how excited I am! (Thanks to Jenny for this bright idea).
I believe that it would be a very exciting change for me. Definitely something to look forward to since it is a big change from the work that I've been doing for almost 7 years now. I look forward to all the challenge that comes with the change. =)
Another thing that I'm very excited about would be my wedding. Its happening really really soon! Super soon. I can't wait to be Mitch Claro. =)
And last but not the least...
Its almost June 1 so to all those in BDO, it only means one thing...BONUS NA!

Stressed at Home!
Too much stress can definitely make you crazy! I think I've proven this today.
Its a given that being at work is stressful but having the same kind of stress at home just tips you off your balance!
I'm about to go crazy over the fact that I'm supporting 8 people all on my own! I have to think about the rent, the food, everything! Its just too much for me.
What do I do to alleviate my from my stress? Why, spend of course! (Which will later on just add to my stress -- I dont care though). I bought myself a mountain bike! Grrr.

A Much Needed Break
=) We're all glad to be finally out of the office and just forget about all the problems and complaints that we encounter each and every day.

A Heavy Choice...
I can't understand what I'm feeling right now.
There's this heaviness, a fear of an unknown, which seems to be bothering me eversince I woke up. I really don't know if its a reaction to the things that have happened for the last 2 days. I feel so unsure of everything, even of myself and the decisions that I have been making.
"Personality Fit" is what my boss calls it. Accdg to her, I should think whether or not I am fit for the position and responsibility that I would be taking on. I do believe that I am fit for the position and most especially the responsibility. What I do know is that I do not "fit" to my boss' concept of leadership. I have come to realize that "the heart" is not essential to her. Compliance and alignment to her own belief is the only key to becoming a good leader.
I feel sad that I do not see eye to eye with her. Admitting this to her would only equate to one thing and that would be to give up the opportunity that has been given to me to advance in my career.
Life poses another challenging question for me...
Whether to take the position and "force"myself to align with her ideals or...
To give it up and uphold what is in my heart.
To many idealists out there, the choice is very obvious. However, practicality points to the other. Now I know why some people choose the path trodden most often. It doesn't mean though that it is the easier path. Giving up your principles is never the easy option.
What do I do?

Wedding Prep Weekend Part 2
Whew.
Wedding update nga pala: Change of plan kami ni Miguel. In previous blog entries, I've mentioned that we would be getting married in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. However, since most suppliers will be coming from Manila and almost all have add on service charge for out-of-town occassions, we wouldn't be savings much in the long run. Besides, all visitors will be coming from Manila. Why travel when we can just all be here in Manila.
Anways, tuloy natin ang kwento. Since I havent posted much pictures in my blog, I've decided to share some of the churches and venues that we've visited. Comments would definitely be appreciated in order for me to assess kung ano nga ba talaga ang maganda't sulit sa mga options namin.
First stop, sa Glass Garden along Evangelista St in Santolan, Pasig City. Maganda ang venue. Very ideal for those who want an outdoor feel to their wedding but are just too scared to risk being rained on. =)
Third option, the Fr. Mark Horan Hall located inside the compound of the Mr.Carmel Churcn in New Manila. Its not as popular and as "dreamy" as the first two venues but the price is quite reasonable. And its just 10 steps away from the church which makes it very convenient especially for the guest.
So far, these are just some of the places that we've visited. Hopefully, we would have more and more options so that Miguel and I can finally decide where to have our much awaited wedding =)

Wedding Prep Weekend 1
Wedding, wedding, wedding.
Wedding filled weekend is the best way to describe the last 2 days that just passed.
Went to Fernwoods for food tasting with Juan Carlo the Caterer last Saturday. Dropped by Coconut Palace aftwerwards. Take note, these two venues are located at the opposite end of the Manila.
Went to Glass Garden for food tasting with Hizon's yesterday. Dropped by The Mango Farm to visit the venue and check out the amenities. Went to Kapitan Moy to check out the "bulwagan" - highly possible venue. Went to Sta Elena Church and St Paul Church in Marikina.
Gosh. And we still haven't decided on our church and venue yet.
