Wedding Prep Weekend 1

Wedding, wedding, wedding.

Wedding filled weekend is the best way to describe the last 2 days that just passed.

Went to Fernwoods for food tasting with Juan Carlo the Caterer last Saturday. Dropped by Coconut Palace aftwerwards. Take note, these two venues are located at the opposite end of the Manila.

Went to Glass Garden for food tasting with Hizon's yesterday. Dropped by The Mango Farm to visit the venue and check out the amenities. Went to Kapitan Moy to check out the "bulwagan" - highly possible venue. Went to Sta Elena Church and St Paul Church in Marikina.

Gosh. And we still haven't decided on our church and venue yet.

On headaches and promotion

I 've been having major headaches for the past 3 days. Non stop throbbing and pain. That's all I feel now. I dont know if its because of my toothache (which I've been trying to ignore since Monday) or if its because of all the stress that I've been experiencing at work.

I feel like I've been stretched thin. There are just too many things that need to be done and I dont know where to begin. I've been doing a bit of this and a bit of that but at the end of the day, I always feel like I've accomplished nothing. I really need to overhaul my style. I need to schedule each task on a day to day basis in order to accomplish all the work that has been designated to me. Delagating is a relief but there are times when I feel like I still do most of the work.

The only consolation that I have right now is knowing that all my hardwork has been recognized. I am hoping for that promotion and raise since it will truly be a big help in our wedding plans. I just hope I get through all this with my sanity intact and without compromising my health.

My R&R

I've been feeling so exhausted for the past couple of weeks and my body has finally won over my fear of not showing up for work (thank god!). I have tons and tons of things to do at the office but with a headache that feels like its ready to split open my head, why bother, right?

I've decided to write something in my blog again for the simple reason that I miss writing about things other than my constant whining and complaining about work (thanks to Eggy for enlightening me on this, hehe).

As the days go by, I feel more and more excited about the wedding =)

We've started with our canvassing 2 weeks ago. Divisoria is the place to be for couples on a budget. Never have I seen a place that had sooo much to offer =) In the heart of Divi, along Ilaya Street was a mecca of wedding dressmakers and their array of gowns. In the beginning I was feeling a little disappointed because everything was ready-to-wear and everything looked the same. Miguel and I asked around for the prices and packages that each shop offered but everybody seemed to be saying the same thing. Luckily (oh yes it was luck indeed), the very last shop that we entered had better things to offer. The owner showed us different kinds of fabric and even gave tips on what looked best and what was practical. She also offered a package that seemed within our means. We also finally had an inspiration on the motif, torqoise ((thanks to shop owner!)!

Next week, our next stop is to attend the wedding exhibit at SM Megamall. Hopefully, we'll find more ideas and find good and potential suppliers so that we can start organizing the wedding!

Soo exciting!

Workaholic

If you choose to stay in the office for more than 16 hours are you considered a workaholic already?

Hmmmm...
